Breakfast-All-Day, Brek 'O' Day @ The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

So I finally had a relaxing morning to help myself to the breakfast menu at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

I ordered Brek 'O' Day that consisted of scrambled eggs, toasts, salad and sausages. What a class combination. It even comes with a cup of premium coffee.

The pleasure of sitting down at a cafe and taking your time with my breakfast helps determine the quality of my life.

Although the food give you a feel that it is prepared before-hand, it does not taste that way. The salad was really fresh, not too sour and is a really refreshing addition to the others on the plate. I had my toast with butter topped with the scrambled eggs. The combination is simply delightful.

You can even re-fill your coffee till 11am!

The set costs only $7.70. Good value!

Yong Tau Foo @ Golden Shoe Hawker Centre

My mum recommended me to try out this yong tau foo that she has been eating at least once every week when she is working at Raffles Place. What makes it special are the unique ingredients/dishes that you can pick from. Most of them are fried ones which I think are made by the owner(s) as I have never seen most of them before. Aside from the uniqueness, the flavour of these supposedly home-made dishes packs a punch in the mouth. This is unlike those regular ones where there is only plain simple fish paste.

The portion is also incredibly huge. A pig skin that I picked is about 2-3 times the size of those you see outside and the owner only charges 40 cents a piece. I barely finished my big bowl of noodles that costs only $3.50.

I would recommend everyone who likes Yong Tau Foo to try out this famous stall at Golden Shoe Hawker Centre. It is beside Raffles Place MRT and is easily accessible. I did not take down the stall name but if you want to find it, just go to the 3rd floor and look for the stall at the corner of a row of stalls.
